Since 2005 I work as a freelance photographer. After working as a press photographer for a few years I shifted my focus to portrait photography and documentary work. To give my work a stronger theoretical basis I decided to finish my master in anthropology that I left in 1994. I obtained my degree in 2013, specialized in questions around authenticity and identity.

Since 2013 I teach photography and anthropology at the Media Studies faculty at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam on part time basis.
